How Should I Dry Sheepskin?

Drying (LW)

• Products should be line or flat dried only.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Do not force dry.
• Do not dry in direct sunlight.
• Product should be pulled back into original size and shape while damp prior to drying.
• We recommend brushing using a medium wire pet brush first while product damp and then again when completely dry to encourage the original fluffy appearance.
• Note:  Excessive heat will cause hardening of leather and/or product shrinkage.
• Air movement while drying is recommended.

How can I clean my sheepskin items?

We strongly suggest using our Eucalan wool wash offered on our website. For larger sheepskin cleaning jobs, we suggest taking it to a local furrier or a dry cleaner.

- For cleaning of smaller sheepskin items such as a single sheepskin rug, sheepskin slippers or hats, use an enzyme free detergent so that the sheepskin is not harmed. We strongly suggest using our Eucalan wool wash offered on our website. For larger sheepskin cleaning jobs, we suggest taking it to a local furrier or a dry cleaner who is familiar with cleaning sheepskin simply because larger items can be ruined in the wash. Always air dry your sheepskin as machine dryers can harm the sheepskin beyond repair.
