"I bought this hat because it is sheep skin and because it has a bill. I wear it every day. The last sheep skin hat I had lasted 20 years. I hope this one lasts as long. I like the softness of the shearling wool. I waterproofed it before wearing it, and it has protected me in rain and snow. I like the adjustability of the flaps worn up or down. The only problem I have had is that the size I ordered according to the sizing chart on this website was too large. The next size smaller would not have worked according to the chart, and the flexable tape measure I used to measure my head for proper sizing. Fortunately, I was able to stick some double stick foam weatherstrip on the inside of the elastic band, and make the hat fit more snuggly. With that bit of inginuety, I now have the best hat I have ever had. I wor it on a day when the temperature was -10 and wind. With the flaps down, I was still warm."

"nice quality - stitching etc, soft leather, very light and feels warm. recommend getting a size larger just in case my head is 59cm/23.3 inches, XL just fits, L would have been smallish"
